One of the biggest projects in Minecraft Modding history. Five very well-known and talented modders have joined forces to develop the Aether, a celestial realm found in outer limits of the atmosphere. The Aether is what you could call the "antipole" of the Nether. The Nether is a network of desolate, fiery caverns filled with bloodstained Cobblestone and sticky Soulsand; it lies beneath the very soil of our Minecraft world. The Aether, on the other hand, is a collection of floating plains and islands, all connected together to create a breathtaking dimension of the skies. Even during the night, the Aether is still quite peaceful, and a normal day in the Aether is the equivalent of three days on the surface.

Somewhere in your world lie ancient towers that have stood fast against the trials of time. They contain much treasure... but equally as much danger.
Every floor has a nice big chest, two random mob spawners, and a staircase to the next floor.
No matter what way you go about it, you're going to have a hard time getting all of the treasure on every floor, sometimes as much as eight!
The treasure gets better and better with each floor, but the floor itself gets more and more broken.
The top of the tower has a nice view, but it seems to be guarded by a mysterious statue... confront it if you dare.
The guy at the top is a new boss mob, the Golem. He is completely still until you approach him but also:
-
TONS of HP, 450 compared to a zombie's 20.
-
Immune to Fire and Lava
-
Very Slow, but gets progressively faster as he takes damage
-
Very Strong, 4 hearts base damage
-
Very Scary!
-
Drops 1-3 [Diamond] Diamonds [Diamond] upon death!
And whatever you do, DO NOT try to run away. You have been warned.
This mod creates pregenerated Tower Dungeons on your map. the hardest part is finding them. They won't appear anywhere except on a flat, open area, so look for a desert, a tundra, a swamp or any generally flat area. You may need to search for quite a while before you see one. But always be prepared before you try it.
